Reach First Mentoring Program

after school program

A ministry that began in 2011 was initially funded by a Holston Conference Change for Children Grant. The Reach First Ministry is a once a week, after-school mentoring program at Narrows First United Methodist Church for first through third graders who attend Narrows Elementary School. Church member Dianne Rader is the coordinator for the program.

Volunteers work one-on-one with the children to help them with homework and reading. The program also includes a craft, dinner and a life skill.
